Founder of Riffe Fire Investigations, LLC, Brian Riffe has over 30 years experience as a fire and explosion investigator. He is an authority in fire and explosion causes and an experienced expert witness. He manages a team of well-qualified fire origin and cause investigators ready to assist our clients throughout Virginia. As a company we deliver reliable results and provide our clients with the information they need to make educated decisions.

Matthew Rice, Sr. has over 20 years experience investigating residential, commercial, vehicle and industrial fires. With extensive experience in the public sector, he is now fully licensed as a Private Investigator and conducting expert fire investigations on behalf of our clients. As an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator he is able to accurately assess fire cause and origin and properly preserve and document crucial evidence. We are happy to have him on our team.

Robert "Bobby" Rollston, Jr. has been a tremendous an asset to our team. He has thousands of hours of expertise in fire and explosion investigations and for many years has served as instructor at the Virginia Fire Marshal's academy. As a trainer of the experts, his credentials are top notch.

Walter Scott Flora (AKA Scott Flora) brings at least 36 years experience in fire service, EMS and fire investigations to Riffe Fire Investigations, LLC. He retired from the Hampton, Virginia fire marshal's office in 2021 with 12 years of investigative experience and became a fully licensed private fire investigator. In June 2022, he became a valued asset to our team, conducting expert origin and cause investigations throughout Virginia for our clients.

Pam Riffe is co-owner, office administrator, compliance officer & investigative advisor. She has extensive experience in the insurance claim industry. Her perspective helps us deliver the service our clients need.

With a lifelong background in public safety and impressive investigative credentials, we are proud to have Mark Furgurson on our team. He has been investigating fire cause and origin since becoming an Assistant Fire Marshal in 2014 and he has worked as a fully licensed private fire investigator since 2020. He holds multiple advanced degrees and specialized training in forensic sciences and is an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator.

Smokey joined the Riffe Fire team in 2022. As a 22 pound Ragdoll, there is nothing little about our fluffy friend. In addition to providing moral support to our office staff, his favorite activities are eating, sleeping and bird watching.
